Joseph Pilats was born in 1883 near Düsseldorf, Germany. Joseph believed our modern lifestyle, bad posture and inefficient breathing were the roots of ill health. His answer to these problems was to design a unique series of vigorous physical exercises that help to correct muscular imbalances and improve posture, coordination, balance, strength, and flexibility, as well as to increase breathing capacity and organ function.
The Franklin Method® is recognized by health providers in Switzerland and is regularly seen at Pilates, Yoga and Physiotherapy conferences.

Studio Zuid offers a wide range of classes.
There are mat classes and equipment classes.
The mat classes are one hour in length and have up to 8 participants. The class numbers are small to create an intimate personalized experience.
All new clients are requested to attend one private intake session (55€), or a Duet two persons (60€) to determine the best class for your needs. The intake session is a full hour of training addressing your specific needs. After attending this intake session you can then sample a large class at no cost.

We are open for live classes till 17.00 hours. After 17.00 hours Virtual Classes (🎥 VC) and recordings are now available. You can receive up to five class recordings per week. Also there is the option to log in live from the comfort of your home via the Zoom application.

Studio Zuid works with a ten-week mat block card. The block is based on the above holidays. If you miss your class you can make this up in any of the other classes offered. This system is designed to create progression, which cannot occur if you are not coming regularly to class.
An equipment class can be arranged in consultation with Studio Zuid. The choice for the type of class is personal and individually designed.
Experience shows clients with physical complaints are best served by a Private class, simply because a targeted re-education works best in a one on one situation.
The first Private class has an exploratory character in which expectations and physical symptoms and/or limitations are discussed. This 'intake' class lasts an hour. After this the trainer and client decide together on how to continue.
Studio Zuid has three Reformer/Tower Pilates machines as well as a Pilates Cadillac apparatus.
Equipment classes work with a medium or large 'package' which can easily be used for all the equipment trainings.
